Patty- I have passed your contact info onto our Literacy coordinator. She will follow up to answer any additional questions but in short answer to your original question. Tutoring typically is arranged in public spaces. It can happen at our offices, at the library or a local coffee shop depending on your choosing.

I would love to have more information on this and to sign up for an orientation. Do these tutoring sessions occur in someone’s home or is there a classroom? The only hesitation I would have would be going into a strange home. If you would please respond to that particular question, I will then sign up for the orientation.

Hi Regina, thanks for the nice write up on San Juan Bautista SHP, I really appreciate it. You might want to keep us in mind next year for your Recognition Dessert Bash. I’m sure we could provide RSVP with the site free of charge. And, maybe more of our volunteers would sign up!

Keep holding on, we’re all in for a very bumpy ride the next few years.

The more open and candid you are with your volunteers and staff the closer and more supportive we feel.
Funding? Not a problem, a challenge. Email all volunteers asking for new, different, untried, creative fund raising ideas. Promise to implement the three judged best. Emphasis on creativity.
Example: A booth at the upcoming County Fair with a display illustrating aid provided to seniors,
offering a home visit to evaluate ‘conditions’ while requesting a contribution.

Oh; and the days are getting shorter (quickly).
