Service Enterprise Training- Our summer training for fellow non-profits is now underway. Scheduled dates are July 18, Aug 1, 15, & Sept 5. A cohort of 10 organizations are gaining the skills needed to improve their efficiency, cut expenses and further their mission by integrating volunteers into their core operations. Volunteer as a Literacy Tutor- Join the Literacy Program at our Volunteer Center offices (Santa Cruz and Watsonville) for a free one-hour orientation to learn more about becoming a tutor to a motivated adult learner. No teaching or foreign language skills necessary, just a desire to be of service. This is the perfect opportunity to get the information you need to determine if this is the right volunteer fit for you. Orientation dates include: Aug 23, Sept 3, and Sept 6. Learn More

Senior Tech Days- YouthSERVE has joined forces with area senior service programs to help local seniors increase their skills with technology, social media, and digital devices. The Karen Delaney Fund for Volunteer Mobilization- We were proud to celebrate Executive Director Karen Delaney at the 2013 Be the Difference Awards. This year marks her 30th year with the Volunteer Center. Her passion for community development and the service movement are an inspiration to us all. In her honor we have developed the Karen Delaney Fund For Volunteer Mobilization to support her career long dedication to bringing more volunteers to the community table. Learn More.

Friends Outside Volunteer Orientation- 1st Tuesday of Every Month @ 10AM- Join Friends Outside staff at the Volunteer Center to learn how you can help individuals and families in the transition from incarceration to back to the community.
