Senior Tech Days – YouthSERVE and our senior centers are back in action to help local seniors increase their skills with technology, social media, and digital devices. Become a Volunteer Tutor in 2015- The Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County is holding a series of free one-hour orientations to recruit volunteer literacy tutors. The orientations offer a great opportunity to learn how to become a tutor for a motivated adult English language learner. Sessions will be held January through March at the Volunteer Center Offices in Santa Cruz and Watsonville. No teaching or foreign language skills required. View Dates and Learn More
Human Race Kick-off Breakfast Feb 6th @ SeaCliff Inn from 7:30AM-9AM- We are so excited to jump-start the 2015 Human Race and we look forward to seeing you there. Our superhero- themed race will be one for the record books as we celebrate our 35th year hosting the Human Race in Santa Cruz County. Trivia Challenge Feb 27th 6-9:30PM@ the Santa Cruz Civic- Here’s your chance to test your wits against fellow trivia enthusiasts while supporting a great cause! We are now taking registrations for the 6th Annual Trivia Challenge in support of senior programs at the Volunteer Center. Join Dale Julin from KSBW TV as the Master of Ceremonies for a festive evening of food, drinks, raffle prizes, and rousing trivia competition. The Karen Delaney Fund for Volunteer Mobilization- We were proud to celebrate Executive Director Karen Delaney at the 2013 Be the Difference Awards in honor of her 30th year with the Volunteer Center. Her passion for community development and the service movement are an inspiration to us all. In her honor we have developed the Karen Delaney Fund For Volunteer Mobilization to support her career long dedication to bringing more volunteers to the community table. Learn More

Friends Outside Volunteer Orientation- 1st Tuesday of Every Month @ 10AM- Join Friends Outside staff at the Volunteer Center to learn how you can help individuals and families in the transition from incarceration to back to the community.
