YouthServe Give Five Campaign- Now through Aug 26 We believe in the power of teens to use their time and talents to create positive change in our neighborhoods, schools and community. Each year we put tools and resources in the hands of over 250 local teens and we need your help to sustain that effort. Be the Difference Awards- Call for Nominations- Now through Sept 10 Each year we reach out to you to help us find the extraordinary stories of those who have chosen to make their moments matter and transform our community through volunteerism. Literacy Program New Tutor Orientatons- September 9, 26, 30 Join the Literacy Program for a free one-hour orientation to learn how to become a tutor to a motivated adult English language learner. No teaching or foreign language skills necessary, just a desire to be of service. This is a great opportunity to learn details about the extensive tutor training provided and to determine if this is the right fit for you. Orientations available in both Santa Cruz and Watsonville. Golf Tournament Benefit- Sept 18 We invite you join us for a fabulous day of golf at Delaveaga Golf Course to honor the spirit of generosity of Karen Marcum. Karen was a champion for the non-profit community, a lover of golf, and one of the co-organizers of this tournament in previous years. In her honor we hope to make this our most successful year. All proceeds from this event will support the work of the Volunteer Center. Learn More

Senior Tech Days – YouthSERVE and our senior centers are back in action to help local seniors increase their skills with technology, social media, and digital devices. Friends Outside Volunteer Orientation- 1st Tuesday of Every Month @ 10AM- Join Friends Outside staff at the Volunteer Center to learn how you can help individuals and families in the transition from incarceration to back to the community.
