Volunteer at Homeless Connect Nov 5th 9AM-5PM- Make a difference in the lives of individuals struggling to rise from poverty and homelessness by volunteering at Project Homeless Connect- a one day blitz of community services to help people get back on their feet happening at the Vets Hall in Watsonville. We still need 75 more volunteers and Spanish speaking volunteers are of particular need. Don’t miss this amazing annual volunteer event. Adopt a Family Project Kick-off- Nov 10- Dec 16- As the days grow colder and shorter, many of us warm our thoughts with the joy of family and the Holiday Season. Unfortunately, for those families in our community struggling to make ends meet, this can be a very worrisome time. You can “Be the Difference” this winter and make holiday wishes come true by adopting a family in need. The Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County offers individuals, groups, and businesses a wonderful way to share the spirit of the holidays. Volunteer, adopt, or donate. Learn More
Senior Tech Days throughout Nov- YouthSERVE and our senior centers are back in action to help local seniors increase their skills with technology, social media, and digital devices. Seniors are invited to drop-in at monthly workshops in Santa Cruz or Watsonville to access new technology skills for connecting with family and friends. View Dates and Learn More

The Karen Delaney Fund for Volunteer Mobilization- We were proud to celebrate Executive Director Karen Delaney at the 2013 Be the Difference Awards in honor of her 30th year with the Volunteer Center. Her passion for community development and the service movement are an inspiration to us all. In her honor we have developed the Karen Delaney Fund For Volunteer Mobilization to support her career long dedication to bringing more volunteers to the community table. Learn More

Friends Outside Volunteer Orientation- 1st Tuesday of Every Month @ 10AM- Join Friends Outside staff at the Volunteer Center to learn how you can help individuals and families in the transition from incarceration to back to the community.
