Project Lead

Volunteer Leaders Drive Social Change

At the Volunteer Center, we understand that in this difficult economic climate one of the best ways an organization can still meet their mission is through effectively utilizing their most important resource-volunteers.

Now more than ever volunteers are needed to take on new levels of leadership within our community. Volunteers who step forward as leaders drive social change.

In the continuing effort to increase leadership capacity for volunteers, our Volunteer Center was among eight  centers in the country to be awarded the Volunteer Leadership Expansion Grant by our National Affiliate, the HandsOn Network.

We are proud to introduce Project Lead, our newest program providing leadership development and peer collaboration for motivated volunteers. Through this program, participants will be trained to lead well-managed projects that meet community needs and provide fellow volunteers with a rewarding experience to encourage continued engagement.

In addition to learning how to make structured and informed decisions on behalf of an organization, all participants in sharing their knowledge and skill, will collaborate with fellow leaders to create a peer learning community.

Who Should Participate?

• Volunteers of all ages interested in motivating others in service

• Seasoned volunteers who are interested in achieving greater levels of leadership within the agency they currently support

• Skilled volunteers with a strong interest in Leadership.
