Santa Cruz Warriors Step up to Adopt our First Family- We were so thrilled to see the precious enthusiasm of one our families through the Adopt a Family Project as they received their gifts from Santa Cruz Warriors Players and staff yesterday. The Warriors signed on as our first donor of the season back in November. A huge thanks for their support. We’ve joined the #Giving Tuesday Movement- We have joined forces with fellow organizations and businesses from around the county to promote #Giving Tuesday (Dec 3rd)- a National Day of Giving to counter balance Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Together we can show that the holidays are about both giving and giving back. A Tribute to Karen Delaney- We were proud to celebrate Executive Director Karen Delaney at the 2013 Be the Difference Awards. This year marks her 30th year with the Volunteer Center. Her passion for community development and the service movement are an inspiration to us all. In her honor we have developed the Karen Delaney Fund For Volunteer Mobilization to support her career long dedication to bringing more volunteers to the community table. Learn More
