YouthSERVE is dedicated to connecting youth, ages 11-17, with rewarding community service projects across the Santa Cruz County. Under the direction of adult volunteer leaders, YouthSERVE volunteers contribute their talents to making positive change in our community.
WHY VOLUNTEER ? Volunteering gives you the opportunity to affect positive change while developing skills that will help you to find a job, get into college, make new friends, complete your school service requirements, and make a difference in the lives of others! YouthSERVE has projects every week in Santa Cruz and Watsonville.
PROJECTS WE’RE DOING NOW:
Senior Tech Days In Santa Cruz and Watsonville
Help seniors navigate technology and stay connected with their community with their personal electronic devices. From e-mail to iPads to smart phones, our seniors need your help! Sign-up opens one week prior to event date. Email ys@scvolunteercenter.org to RSVP to the next Senior Tech Day.

Join us at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter and help prepare cats and dogs for their forever homes! YouthSERVE volunteers will work together as part of a two or three person team in cleaning kennels and washing dishes as well as feeding, exercising, playing, snuggling, brushing and socializing adoptable pets. An orientation and species-specific training is required. Before contacting us about this project, please consult the Animal Shelter FAQ.
